For the third year in succession, the Keytree In-store Technology (KIT) team are heading to New York City for NRF 2019: Retail’s Big Show and this year the team will be meeting with new and existing clients at Booth #3430.
The team will once again be showcasing the KIT product portfolio and sharing exciting new product developments at the Annual Convention & EXPO – NRF’s flagship event, which runs from 13 – 15 January 2019, hosted at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
In 2018, KIT has been successfully deployed in prestigious luxury fashion houses and stores such as Holt Renfrew, a chain of high-end Canadian department stores specialising in luxury brands. As a result, KIT is now being used on a daily basis by store associates worldwide from Europe to Asia to North America. In attendance at this year’s event will be Keytree Director Andrew Miller and Adrian Slater, Head of Retail at Keytree.
Showcasing KIT at NRF 2019
KIT will also be part of SAP’s Connected Store Showcase – a dedicated area on the show floor to demonstrate what it takes for companies to create a personalised end-to-end Omni-channel experience for customers. Visitors to the Connected Store Showcase will be treated to an interactive experience that reimagines the store experience for store associates, management and customers alike ensuring the interactions are as remarkable as possible. The showcase will demonstrate how Clienteling puts the store associate at the heart of the customer’s journey with a blending of digital and physical interactions.
KIT reinvents the shopping experience at Holt Renfrew
Holt Renfrew wanted to take its retail offering firmly into the 21st Century and by deploying KIT – the digital implementation has helped to place Holt Renfrew in a position to maximise future innovations. The agile project started in June 2017 and following initial sprint zero activities, the KIT team spent two weeks in Toronto at Holt Renfrew’s flagship 50 Bloor Street store where they ran workshops and held in-depth discussions with Holt Renfrew business execs to understand pain points, strategies and goals.
KIT is specifically designed to be quick and easy to implement, plugging easily into existing back-end systems. For Holt Renfrew, KIT connects to OData services on SAP Cloud Platform which acts as a light middleware tier to orchestrate and secure the connection to get customer details, transactions and the KPI’s store associates need. SAP Cloud Platform is connected to Azure AD to perform Single Sign-on and role-based access to KIT. The SAP Cloud Platform layer also acts as an interim solution allowing Holt Renfrew to provide its store associates with Task, Appointment, Attachment and Note capabilities. KIT went live in nine Holt Renfrew stores across Canada in November 2017 – rolled out to 1,500 store associates in both French and English languages.
